Setting up your Memoryboard
To set up your Memoryboard, follow these steps:
- Plug in your Memoryboard: Your Memoryboard must remain plugged in at all times to function correctly.
- Connect to your Wi-Fi: Select your Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks and enter your password (if required)
- When entering your password, you can click on the 'eye' icon on the right side of the password field to reveal your full Wi-Fi password; this is helpful to ensure there are no spelling or capitalization mistakes in your password.
- Select your timezone: From the dropdown, select the time zone for the location where the Memoryboard will be placed. This will automatically set the correct time and date.
- You will select your time zone based on the city in that time zone; you can use the following as a guide:
- Pacific time zone: Los Angeles
- Mountain time zone: Denver
- Central time zone: Chicago
- Eastern time zone: New York
- You will select your time zone based on the city in that time zone; you can use the following as a guide:
- Download the Memoryboard app: If you haven't already done so, you can use the QR codes to direct you to your preferred app store to download the Memoryboard app.
- If you've already downloaded the Memoryboard app, you can click "Continue" (you can ignore the QR codes)
- Enter the 5-digit code: You'll see a 5-digit code displayed on the Memoryboard. Enter this code in your app to connect your account to your board.
- Success! You have successfully set up your new Memoryboard
At this point, you will be taken to a 'home screen' that contains an image of yellow flowers on the left side and text on the right that reads, 'Waiting for new messages.' This is the default screen when no messages are being displayed.
Swipe down on the date/time on the Memoryboard to access a small menu, which allows you to access settings, Wi-Fi, brightness, and volume.
Reminders
Many people will set up the Memoryboard at their house before taking it to their loved ones. Once you're at your loved ones home, the only thing you will need to do to set up your Memoryboard is connect it to your loved one's network. Swipe down on the date/time and click on the WiFi icon to connect to their network.
